SommErleben 2024 in Dornbirn

Under the motto ‘SommErleben’, Dornbirn will be transformed into a vibrant centre for culture and entertainment this summer. From 27 June to 8 September, visitors can look forward to a colourful variety of events. Whether concerts, themed markets, open-air cinema or the popular Urbikuss city festival - the programme offers numerous highlights.

Night flea market - Thursday, 27 June 2024, city centre 
The popular ländleanzeiger.at night flea market in Dornbirn transforms the city centre into a paradise for bargain hunters from 4 pm to 10 pm! Many new treasures can be discovered at 80 market stalls. Alternative date in case of bad weather is Thursday, 4 July 2024. 

Public viewing - Tuesday, 9, Wednesday, 10 and Sunday, 14 July 2024, Market Square
The market square provides the perfect backdrop for the semi-finals and final of the 2024 European Football Championship, with a guaranteed good atmosphere, cool drinks and snacks to enjoy the matches in a great atmosphere. 

Toy flea market - Wednesday, 10 and Saturday, 13 July 2024, Wednesday, 7 and Saturday, 10 August and Wednesday, 4 and Saturday, 7 September 2024, Pfarrpark
At the popular toy flea market in the parish park, all children can offer their used but functional toys for sale. Pre-registration is not necessary. Places are allocated directly on site between 8 and 9 am. The toy flea market will not take place in rainy weather. 

Summer in the City - Thursday, 11 to Saturday, 13 July 2024, Market Square 
Regional and national artists will be performing on the large stage on the market square from 7 pm to 11 pm. On Thursday, ‘Nevermind Extended’ will ring in the musical weekend with the finest cover songs. On Friday, ‘Noah Bono’ and ‘Freud’ from Vienna will do the honours. The crowning finale on Saturday will be provided by ‘Claynation’ and ‘Mainfelt’. Unforgettable summer nights are guaranteed. 

Silent Cinema - Friday, 19 July 2024, Gütle 
The open-air cinema experience of a special kind is coming to Dornbirn again this year. The new location in Gütle near the sequoia tree promises a breathtaking backdrop. With a balmy summer breeze and fresh popcorn, the film selected in advance by voting will be broadcast via headphones - the volume and playback language can be set and adjusted by yourself. Bsundrigs arts and crafts market - Friday, 26 July 2024, city centre 
Creative people present their handmade products at this ‘bsundrigen’ market throughout the city centre. Gifts, souvenirs, beautiful things for the garden, decorative items for the home, jewellery, soaps and bath additives, spices and much more await visitors at Bsundrigs. 

Open Piano for Refugees – Wednesday, 31 July to Saturday, 3 August 2024, Europapassage 
Passers-by can also take a seat at the Open Piano for Refugees every day from 10 am to 10 pm and present their skills. All proceeds will be donated to charity. 

Sommer im Park – Thursday, 8 to Saturday, 10 August 2024, Stadtgarten 
This year, the Stadtgarten at inatura will once again be transformed into the location for a special 3-day summer experience. In the cosy atmosphere of the park, the children's programme will make the little ones smile, the poems of the ‘Poetry Slammers’ will make guests laugh and think and the rhythms of the bands and DJs will get visitors dancing. 

Dornbirn Cycling Days –Saturday, 24 and Sunday, 25 August 2024, market square 
The Dornbirn Cycling Days are taking place for the first time this year, focussing on this trendy sport. On Saturday, in addition to an exciting bike race through the city centre, there will also be a concert in the evening. Sunday is all about information and trying things out. 

Urbikuss - The city festival - Friday, 30 August 2024, city centre 
The whole city celebrates a big festival. With free admission to many municipal facilities, free city buses, city tours, an entertaining children's programme, musical and artistic interludes, young and old are guaranteed to get their money's worth. 

Streetfood Market – Friday, 6 to Sunday, 8 September, Stadtgarten 
At the Streetfood Market in the Stadtgarten at inatura, around 20 food trucks offer specialities from all over the world over three days. An entertainment programme also ensures a good atmosphere.
